LOVE LOST

“Heavy downward drag, no bounce left.” LOVE LOST is a hauntingly beautiful exploration of emotional exhaustion and gravity. The composition is built from washed out, ashy, and faded blue tones smeared heavily down the canvas with long, weeping palette knife strokes. Interspersed with patches of weathered, mudlike ochre, the entire weight of the paint pools toward the bottom in long, continuous drips and vertical drags. There are no celebratory splatters or rising peaks here—only the quiet, beautiful, and somber stillness of a flame that has completely gone out.
